Selon la FAO\u00a0(Organisation des nations unies pour l\u2019alimentation et l\u2019agriculture), <strong>150\u00a0vari\u00e9t\u00e9s de plantes seulement nourrissent la plus grande partie de l\u2019humanit\u00e9<\/strong>, alors que l\u2019homme a cultiv\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 <strong>10\u00a0000\u00a0vari\u00e9t\u00e9s diff\u00e9rentes<\/strong> de l\u00e9gumes. Depuis le d\u00e9but du si\u00e8cle dernier, les trois quarts environ de la diversit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des plantes cultiv\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 perdus \u00e0 tout jamais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Haricot du Saint &#8211; Sacrement : Et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de la France\u00a0? La toute jeune association <strong>Graines de vie<\/strong>, qui lance\u00a0un vaste projet de sauvegarde des vari\u00e9t\u00e9s en voie de disparition, a compar\u00e9 le catalogue\u00a02014\u00a0du grainetier Vilmorin ( ceux-l\u00e0 m\u00eames en proc\u00e8s avec KOKOPELLI ) avec celui datant de 1900.
